We are pleased to share with you that the Department for Education has approved our applications to convert the seven schools in The Compass Partnership to academy status, and to proceed with forming a Multi-Academy Trust (MAT). Wingfield Primary School will join the MAT once their new build project has been completed, and will continue to work in partnership with us in the lead up to this. We would like to thank staff, Governors, parents and carers for your engagement in the process so far.  We have produced our first monthly newsletter to keep you updated on the process as it progresses - see the "Attachments" section below.

March 14th 2016:

We are very pleased to announce that the Board of Governors is considering a proposal to convert to Multi-Academy Trust status together with the other schools in The Compass Partnership. The Board of Governors in each partnership school has considered the current changes that are affecting schools, as well the factors that will impact on us in the future, and each has voted to proceed, in partnership with the other Compass Schools, with a statutory consultation on the formation of our own Multi-Academy Trust.  As part of the decision-making process, the Governors will undertake a full consultation with our stakeholders and will take their views into account when making the final decision.

Thank you very much for engaging with this process.

We have received a lot of questions from across the schools and have collated them under broad themes in the Frequently Asked Questions document below.
